The Plebeians and Patricians were two Roman social classes. The Patricians were of the wealthier class, while the plebeians fell short in wealth. We do not know much about plebeians due to them not being able to write, so most of the records are from Patricians view on plebeians as well as on their own life. Other ways we have found out about Romans are from preserved sites where they had lived such as Pompeii.
